I saw the pain in your red white and blue Eyes met across the room You were sinking back in your black leather chair Mirrored walls reflected you everywhere Red. Puffy eyed angry color of my true love’s words White. Like the death of our fantasy family world Blue. We used to love to look in each other’s clear blue eyes Now they’re streaming from the ashes of our white hot lies What can you do when you love the one you hate? Where can you turn when you’ve been speeding headlong down an unlit highway? Are there survivors we can rip from the wreckage of our Pain? What’s left to say when our Silence is Louder Than Our Screams Red. Your warm arms pulsing On my naked breasts White. Flashing headlights on the barren walls above our now empty bed Blue. Still waters run deep in your tired eyes Now we’re sinking to the bottom of our thickening lies What can you do When you love the one you hate? Where can you turn When you’ve been speeding headlong down an unlit highway? Are there survivors we can rip from the wreckage of our Pain? What’s left to say when our Silence is Louder Than Our Screams I saw the pain in your red white and blue Eyes met across the room You were sinking back in your black leather chair Mirrored walls reflected you everywhere

Fuck my pride, fuck these flags I try to hide behind Fuck the lies I stand for when I'm partisan and blind Fuck my pride, when others fall to the waist-side Fuck my pride, fuck my pride Is it possible, we too often confuse, morality and humanity, for politics and parties is it probable, that some overview effect, could help us see reality and flip this in our eyes to find this Us verse them mentality will only get us nowhere, cause no matter how you put it, we're only being selfish If I get the strength to climb, over my tall incessant hitches, maybe we can try to turn more of our borders into bridges Fuck my pride, fuck these flags I try to hide behind Fuck the lies I stand for when I'm partisan and blind Fuck my pride, when others fall to the waist-side Fuck my pride, fuck my pride Oh Humanity, ya what does that mean to me, i use it so loosely, but perceive it as i do and you can surpass ideologies that stricken all of our sanity hammer down these narrow tunnels that make us all feel safety because we are so much more than petty arguments and bubbled lives fat sensational appetites and walls around our minds it's easy enough for me to say, over four chords, how it should be when i'm locked up in my room away from everybody So fuck this fuckin song, and fuck my fuckin thoughts, all i ever want is for folks to stop judging each other maybe if we breathe deep enough we could just see, that this has always been about more than you or me so I'll pull me off the cross of conceited superiority cloudy egotism masking common sense with vanity A global view ideally, but what are we realistically? transcendence necessary if we want that kinda world Fuck my pride, fuck these flags I try to hide behind Fuck the lies I stand for when I'm partisan and blind Fuck my pride, when others fall to the waist-side Fuck my pride, fuck my pride Fuck my pride, fuckin burn it to the ground give me the match, i'll light it up, and bridge my thoughtless gaps Fuck my pride, when others fall to the waist-side fuck my pride, fuck my pride

maybe somewhere far away there's a place where i can stay to understand a different point of view maybe i could get a job and leave behind this old facade if only i could find me someplace new this old house is burning down the fire is spreading all around and if i don't escape i just might burn to death the people here don't mind the flames their lives continue just the same they're happy as a pig in shit on fire maybe if i rest my bones and scribble out a few more tomes then i can figure out what this life means or maybe fire follows me and i'm unfulfilled from sea to sea a futile exercise in being free maybe i could find a girl that understands this burning world and maybe she'll come fire walk with me maybe we could find a home some burned down place to call our own and maybe fire won't be all i see

I'm here in my bed again Thinking of what I could've done To make you happy I feel my knees going straight down south Crying seeing others do nothing But I'm trying I'm on the inside, looking out I'm on the inside I'm on the inside, looking out I'm on the inside There's comments you don't think I hear Closed mouth and open ears That says something One look and I'm left alone It's okay I'm getting used to the thought Ohh ... (3x) I'm on the inside, looking out I'm on the inside, looking out Yeah Whoa I'm on the inside, looking out I'm on the inside, looking out I'm on the inside, looking out I'm on the inside, looking out

All That Matters It was always you But I only knew From the moment that we started Love is all that matters We built it up We danced around We had such a fine time Sailing And my friends keep reminding me As if it's something I need to know That the world continues certainly Even after we've let go But they don't know... they don't know If times stands still As it often will We can step inside together Forever Every word is true And it's all for you Because even when it's over Love is all that matters

Hold that thought and stop what you’re doing Oh I like, I like what you’re saying Quite a day To be slaving away So quit that stick and stick with me now See how all the trees, they be waving? Look at our little sun finally shining You know it’s time To leave that spreadsheet behind Put some sunscreen on and shift it If somebody tells you If somebody tells you you’re wrong Let me just tell them Let me just tell them you’re gone...’cause When the hula hoop shakes The world is definitely on break The hula hoop shakes I’ll be indefinitely late We’re wasting our time here Surfs up, wish us luck, no more noodling If you don’t know yourself, best get googling And you will find You need executive time Trust yourself and make up stories If somebody tells you If somebody tells you you’re wrong Let me just tell them Let me just tell them you’re gone...’cause When the hula hoop shakes The world is definitely on break The hula hoop shakes I’ll be indefinitely late We’re wasting our time here When the hula hoop shakes The hula hoop shakes I’m wasting you’re time here

What if I told you that there was only one disliked state? I think you'd know which one I mean But it's self-reliant, and pretty safe with great education And the minds are free I work while you wait, I control my fate I love while you hate, give thanks every day I'll never conform to the picture you paint And I got no time for the insults you sling You gotta work hard when you grow up in the only disliked state What if I told you that being bullied only makes you go harder Until there's nothing left to give You channel Springsteen, and you know that he won't be far Because it's the greatest place to live It's a hack joke that everyone laughs at It's always told in the exact same way It's a place that a winner wants to run from It's not a place that you would choose to stay Well, you can keep telling yourself that If it makes you feel better that your state is such a bore But if you're only gonna learn one thing from this song Then just remember that the people on Jersey Shore are really from New York You gotta work hard when you grow up in the only disliked state

I wish for the day when I can be considered The few that have made their way back up the river Paddled their souls to civilization Not overly medicated, zombie like. Sedated. Unfortunately I seem to be headed that way My straights are all crooked and that ruins my day I'm still able to crack a smile on demand But it's like don't even have 2 legs to stand The streams of my mind have become un-pure My mental state's dumped nuclear waste and my shore Is not the oasis like landscapes they were But if you ask me what's wrong, I'm really not sure It's like I talk when I wanna feel Feel when I wanna feel know Know what it's like to be real Can't seem to recall when my chi was dead center Or the last time I felt I was the truly the winner Drives on long roads bring me to a place Where a quizzical look comes across my face This daily routine, has become obscene Just keeping it real, not tryna be mean Sometimes there are days when I miss the past Past month, past week, they go by so fast Biting my tongue, cuz I've put in no work I've explored no other roads to loosen these quirks Instead of trying to live with these flaws I should face the crime, not re-write the laws It's like I talk when I wanna feel Feel when I wanna feel know Know what it's like to be real And feel that I'm wasting my own time

New Jersey Musicians Continue to “Rock Against Hate” With Third Music Compilation, Benefiting Kids in Need of Defense (KIND)

RockAgainstHate.org., musicians making a difference by raising funds for good causes through the online release of music compilations featuring songs from New Jersey artists and around the globe, will release its third compilation – Volume 3 - on May 11 to benefit Kids in Need of Defense (KIND).

The compilation will be available via Bandcamp for a donation of $10 or more. All proceeds for Volume 3 go to KIND.

RockAgainstHate.org was established in 2017 in the wake of what was considered a divisive election with musicians coming together to release original exclusive songs to raise funds towards anti-hate efforts and equal rights. To date, thousands have been raised for organizations such as The Trevor Project and Planned Parenthood from the first two volumes.

"With the actions we have seen our current government take towards immigration, it seemed more pressing than ever to have Volume 3 benefit KIND, an organization that helps the most vulnerable of immigrants, children,” says Lazlo (founder of BlowUpRadio.com and curator of 'Rock Against Hate' Compilation). "I am proud that I am able to work with the music community to try to contribute towards helping others.”

Founded by Angelina Jolie and Microsoft, KIND helps protect the basic human rights of refugee and immigrant children in the United States, many of whom come to escape violence and persecution.

RockAgainstHate Volume 3 features original songs exclusive to this collection. The songs reflect a wide range of styles and subject matters that will appeal to many musical tastes.

Artists contributing songs to the compilation include: A Halo Called Fred, Amanda Rose Riley, Best Hit TV, Big Mother Gig, Carol Lester, Catherine Wacha, Charlotte Morris, Colie Brice, Creeping Hush, Deena & Kristian, Delsea Drive, Diego Allessandro, Dinosaur Eyelids, Dw. Dunphy, E.Joseph, Grey Goes Black, Hal Guitarist & Addy, Happy Joe, Holistic Medicine Project, J Thoubbs, Joe Billy, Keith Peters, Laree Cisco, Meeko Brando, Mike Ferraro, Motherface, Nerve Tonic, Petal Aggression, Puppyboy, Sonofdov, The Dirtee Blondes, The Fisherman & The Sea, The Last Martyr, The Mighty Alrighty, The Subterraneans, The Successful Failures, Val Emmich, Yellow Dog, and Ziggy Grover.

See full track listing below. Special thanks to Dw. Dunphy for designing the artwork for Volume 3.

In addition to the digital album being available for download on Saturday, May 11, there will be a benefit release show at Espresso Joe’s in Keyport. The show will run from 2pm until closing and feature acoustic performances from: Amanda Rose Riley, Carol Lester, Creeping Hush, Diego Allessandro, E.Joseph, Hal Guitarist, Keith Peters, Laree Cisco, Mike Ferraro, The Last Martyr and The Mighty Alrighty.

About KIND
Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) was founded by the Microsoft Corporation and UNHCR Special Envoy Angelina Jolie, and is the leading national organization that works to ensure that no refugee or immigrant child faces immigration court alone. We do this in partnership with over 600 law firms, corporate legal departments, law schools, and bar associations, which provide pro bono representation to unaccompanied children referred to KIND for assistance in their deportation proceedings. KIND has received more than 18,000 child referrals since we opened our doors in 2009, and trained over 40,000 pro bono attorneys. KIND also helps children who are returning to their home countries to do so safely and to reintegrate into their communities, and supports sexual and gender-based violence prevention programming in Central America.

About RockAgainstHate.org
Lazlo (curator of Rock Against Hate) created BlowUpRadio.com in 2000 as an internet radio station & website to promote New Jersey’s local original music scene.
